WPBFD History
The next day firemen were again busy. The men at North Borough Station had their lunch interrupted as the alarm sounded for a fire at an incinerator on 23rd Street. The men were ready for a hot afternoon as they observed black smoke rising into the blue sky on the west side of town. The fire turned out to be some old tires and a ton of paper that was to be burned anyway.
